Born on this day in 1887, Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret) is perhaps the most influential architect of the 20th century. A father of the International Style, his vast body of work explored the design of cities, government buildings, apartments, and revolutionary houses he referred to as 'machines for living'.
