George Browne Post

Born on this day in 1837, George Browne Post was responsible for several prominent buildings such as the 1885 Produce Exchange and the 1890 World Building. Among his other noted works include the 1869 Equitable Building which was the first with lifts, and the 1899 St. Paul Building, once the tallest in New York at twenty-two stories.
