Designed by Kisho Kurokawa, the 1972 Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo is composed of small prefabricated living units organized around a central core. The modular units serve as very efficient sleeping spaces for business people, literally minimizing the area for an overnight stay to its bare essentials.
