Salvador Dalí
May 11

Born on this day in 1904, Salvador Dalí is perhaps best known for his paintings based on a technique he described as 'critical paranoia'. The precise style of his paintings, such as his 1931 'The Persistence of Memory' and 1937 'Sleep', exhibit an eerie, almost nightmarish quality. A prolific artist, Dalí produced numerous films, costumes, and books during his lifetime... such as his humbly titled 1965 work, 'Diary of a Genius'.
