Eliel and Eero Saarinen
architects
Eliel (b. 1873) and Eero (b. 1910) Saarinen are both pioneers in the field of architecture. The younger Saarinen, Eero, created such masterpieces as the TWA Kennedy Terminal Building, Dulles Airport, and the great arch of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis. His father Eliel, is also noted for his beautiful railway station in Helsinki and the Cranbrook School campus in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
