Flatiron Building
an architectural landmark

The world's tallest building when it was constructed in 1902, the Flatiron Building is one of New York City's best known landmarks. Designed by Daniel Burnham, the building derives its unique shape from the narrow sliver of land it occupies between Fifth Avenue and Broadway.
