a momentary vignette | a brief, beautiful glimpse of architecture, design, and art!

Metropolis
October 19

A 1926 film by Fritz Lang, Metropolis revealed the imposing world of the future as a symbolic heaven and hell. The slaves of the working class toiled in the catacombs of a subterranean world... while the ruling class enjoyed the modern comfort of the city's upper realms. A visually magnificent film, Metropolis helped shaped the future of many 'worlds', such as Ridley Scott's 1982 classic, Bladerunner.
