Henry Mather Greene

Born on January 23rd in 1870, Henry Mather Greene along with his brother Charles, helped to define the Arts and Crafts Movement in Southern California. Influenced by Japanese design and craftsmanship, their work consisted primarily of residences characterized by low pitched roofs, massive timbers, and beautifully detailed joinery.
