A true piece of Americana, the Long Island Duck was built in 1931 as a roadside stand along Route 24 in Flanders, Rhode Island. Made famous by the 1970's book, Learning From Las Vegas, the Duck is celebrated as a type of symbolic building which contrasts the glass and steel office towers of recent times.
