Walter Gropius

Born on this day in 1883, architect Walter Gropius is best known as the founder of the Bauhaus school of design. In addition to the Bauhaus, his other noted works include the Model Factory at the 1914 Werkbund Exhibition and the 1911 Fagus Factory with Adolph Meyer.
