Marcel Breuer

Born on this day in 1902, architect and designer Marcel Breuer is perhaps best known for the design of his famous tubular steel Wassily Chair. After studying at the Bauhaus, Breuer later designed a series of noted works including innovative houses, UNESCO Headquarters, and the Whitney Museum of Art.
