a momentary vignette
Antoni Gaudi
June 25

Born on this day in 1852, Antoni Gaudi is best known for his extraordinary works of architecture such as Sagrada Familia and Casa Milá. A master of what he termed 'Mediterranean Gothic', Gaudi created a unique style from a fusion of Art Nouveau and Gothic influences. His works express a truly organic quality... growing and molded shapes complete with sinuous forms of stonework and colorful tile mosaics.
