a momentary vignette
girder and panel set
June 30

Today 'a momentary vignette' celebrates its one year anniversary with playful look at an inspiring children's toy. Originally produced by Kenner in the 1950's, the Girder and Panel Construction Set was every young modernist's dream! Each colorfully illustrated box included an array of red plastic girders and beams, curtainwall panels, and green masonite bases that could be composed into a variety of configurations... essentially replicating the forms and construction methods of a modern steel skyscraper.
