Andy Warhol
August 6

One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Andy Warhol was also a filmaker, music producer, author, graphic designer, and collector. Born in 1928, Warhol is perhaps best known for his Pop Art prints of contemporary icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Campbell's Soup cans. These silkscreen works became the artist's signature, providing colorful commentary on American society and culture.
